Background

The Tubądzin Management Group appreciates the value and the high level of Polish and invites interior designers and architects to inspire and create gateways using Tubądzin products. It allows for a unique character of public spaces. It’s a way to improve the most important street in the city, building its identity and realizing a truly unique idea.

The idea is to install colourful porcelain tiles in the gateways on Piotrkowska street. Each gate has a slightly different style, different details, which inspire designers. Passing the gateway, on the sidewalk – a sign on the floor informs passers-by it is worth visiting the courtyard. Each gateway is different, delights with its form, colours and also the famous names of its creators. On the wall of the gateway a plate is installed with the name of the author and partners of the project.

Aim of the

  1. create new inspirations and project solutions for gateways as a way to build unique identities in public spaces. It is a way of adding identity to the most important street in the city and realizing a unique idea
  2. develop cooperation between TMG and interior designers and architects
  3. promotion of good design, both in Poland and abroad
  4. select the most interesting projects for their realization at selected gate locations

After exhibition

The final and award ceremony took place on 28 2019 in the Gallery Hall of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź.

The was the result of classes for students organized throughout half a year at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź (department of and interior architecture) as well as at the Lodz University of Technology, patronage of the Mayor of Łódź, Hanna Zdanowska.
