And we’re off! The third international Tubądzin Design Awards competition for architects, designers and students has been launched. This is yet another edition of Tubądzin’s original project, which will allow you to experience great inspiration, creative ideas and countless interesting design solutions.
The third edition of the competition, which architects and designers from Poland and abroad had been waiting for, kickstarted on January 10. The Tubądzin Group, the organizer of the competition, is aware that design is not only about creating eye-catching and functional objects or interiors, but also about fostering the well-being of users, taking into account the needs of the environment and the quality of life of future generations.
For these reasons, this year’s Tubądzin Design Awards will be accompanied by the slogans #nature #future #freedom. The last of them is a reference to the possibilities offered by contemporary design, modern technology, knowledge and imagination that embellish reality even more.
#freedom also alludes to the unique main award of the 3rd Tubądzin Design Awards. The winner of the Grand Prix will decide about its form. #freedom gives the winner a choice – a visit to Abu Dhabi (#future) or a trip to Iceland (#nature).
AWARDS FROM PARTNERS
Due to the nature of the competition and its multi-stage nature, we can award a much larger number of authors of interesting projects. By granting valuable vouchers, the competition partners – Grohe, Terma, AQForm – will recognize the winners not only in individual stages, but also in the Final. In addition, projects featuring products from AQForm, Grohe and Terma have a chance to receive a special prize funded by the competition’s Partners.
Internships at renowned architectural offices in Paris, Warsaw and Lviv are awaiting the best designers and architects.
COMPETITION RULES
Designers and architects wishing to take part in the competition should submit at least one project in the selected competition category: Young Power, Everyday Design, Unlimited Architecture. They can do this at each stage of the competition:
Stage I – 10/01/2020 – 30/04/2020
Stage II – 01/05/2020 – 31/07/2020
Stage III – 01/08/2020 – 31/10/2020
JURY
The jury of this year’s contest is made up of outstanding experts and practitioners in their field:
Boris Kudlička (chairman of the jury), world-renowned set, interior and exhibition designer,
Małgorzata Szczepańska, editor-in-chief of Elle Decoration magazine,
Oksana Shumelda, architect, designer,
Martin Duplantier, architect, president of the AMO architect’s association,
Tomasz Smus, architect of the Tubądzin Group brand.
